Objectives/Abstract:
To implement a professional, coordinated, and responsive MAS program
in North Carolina. To integrate university research, government,
and users so that more informed management decisions are made.
Methodology: Agents and Specialists are located in key areas around the coastal portion of North Carolina. Communications and education techniques are used to transfer technical information to different user groups. Agents and Specialists interact with researchers and clientele to identify needs and to transfer information. Agents and Specialists participate in the National Sea Grant network to obtain the most relevant information possible.
