Good news for all Apple users! Hype yourself up and look forward to this new evolution that Apple has just patented. Apple has just recently made its patent public, indicating a new innovative way of integrating your existing iPhones and iPads to power up your MacBooks or MacBook lookalikes. How cool would that be?

Like most typical patents, the descriptions that comes along with it would be quite ambiguous so as to protect their own vested interests. The patent concisely implies that you are able to secure a device into a laptop-like frame with no help of a processor. That has led to many assumptions reportedly to attach either your iPhones, iPads, or iTouch into this husk to power it up.

This device is more of an add-on, to compliment all of Apple’s portable devices. It may very well comprise of a GPU; graphical processing unit, or other processing appurtenance that is able to sustain a typical laptop. This is no new technology when it comes to the integration of handheld devices and computers. Another competitor; namely Asus has already introduced it, calling it the    PadFone to the market many years before!

Illustrations from the patent depicts an obvious approach where the trackpad of the MacBook that we typically see will be interchangeable or replaced by an iPhone or iTouch whereas the iPad can be swapped with the laptop’s screen. Though the patent doesn’t really define clearly how Apple will be improvising this new patent to its products, it’s not that difficult to assume that this is anything new at all. Other competitors in the market have already launched similar products which allows docking and attaching of portable devices and laptops.

Depending on what Apple has installed for us in the future, this would be one of the many fascinating idea that would be up their sleeve. What do you guys think about it?
