Plan Your Itinerary Today With Facebook’s City Guides

Before planning for any vacation, most people will usually scour through multiple travel websites just to get reviews and feedbacks to plan their itinerary for the next upcoming trip. Facebook has just given us another reason to not multi task and toggle around multiple tabs or apps anymore.

facebook city guidesWith the new introduction of Facebook’s City Guides, this new helpful feature will alleviate and cut down on the whole comparison and review process as it is simply taking too much of our time. While City Guides is still undergoing testing phase for selected iOS and Android mobile users, if Facebook decides to launch it globally, you need no leave to third party apps to make anymore comparisons.

What City Guides mainly focuses on would still be in sync within your social circle. Offering curated recommendations from places of interests, cafes, events and many more. Nothing comes close to an accurate review or feedback of a place from a friend. City Guides will be available under the “explore” tab if you ever need it.

Upon selection of a particular country, you will be able to see which friend has been to that city or country. After making your choice of city, there will be data provided such as the current weather there and the city’s local time for you to make preparations to pack your belongings. You will be able to view current events and attractions under your own schedule by saving it.

A Facebook representative mentioned via email that this content is nothing new to Facebook as it is being scattered everywhere. This new benefit will consolidate and individualised information that is fitting to each users. In short, it allows users to get an even accurate understanding of the country that they will be visiting soon through their friends on Facebook.
