Remember the old and hardy mobile phone that most of us dreamt about having back when smart phones just got introduced to the world? No matter how many times we may drop it still powers up perfectly and its battery capacity is unmatched as compared to the rest of its competitors. Yes, this year’s Mobile World Congress brings us back to memory lane.
Nokia went and took the old model; 3310 and improve its outlook, specifications and battery life, giving it a new life which still costs as low as you can expect it to be, but more reliable and tough. As the application is not that complicated and there are not many battery draining apps to support this phone, it can give users a whooping 22 hours talk time and close to a month of standby time, so users would not need to charge their phones that regularly. It has a 2-megapixel camera and a 2.4-inch coloured screen right above its numeric keyboard and menu buttons as how the previous Nokia 3310 would look like. The new and improved version has gotten itself a “facelift” with a couple of new and vibrant colours to entice the newer generation and keep the older generation excited for this newer model. Nokia 3310 would be set to hold it’s relaunch at Barcelona for an affordable price of approximately $52, it will be set to launch later this year as release date has not been officially announced. The golden question here is, would you pay a $50 odd dollars in exchange for a nostalgic device to bring back memory, not forgetting the hardiness and durability of its battery?
